You first have to create a Deriv mt5 account before you can log in.
- Click on the (1) ”Trader's Hub option” on the top left of your dashboard. Then click (2) ‘Real‘ > (3) ‘CFD's‘. Choose the real Deriv account type you want to create from the options (Deriv Standard Account). Click ‘Get‘ and choose the regulating authority for your account.
- Agree to the terms and conditions and set the password for the Deriv.com real account.

If you encounter login issues, verify that you are using the correct server, login id and password.
Ensure that you type the server just as it appears. For example, if the server name is DerivSVG-Server-02 and you type DerivSVG Server 02 you will not be able to login.

My experience has shown that you need to set up two-factor authentication for increased security for your account. You will need to provide your password and a code from the authenticator app before you can login to your Deriv account.
That way even if hackers access your password they will not be able to do Deriv login without the code from the two-factor authentication app.
This is how you set it up:
- Login to your Deriv account and click on Account Settings> Security & Safety > Two-factor authentication. Alternatively, you can visit https://app.deriv.com/account/two-factor-authentication.
- Select your preferred authentication app and set it up by following the commands over the following pages. I use the Google authenticator app.
- After successfully setting up you will receive a unique code each time you attempt to do Deriv.me log in to your account for added security.
